Pedals & Pancakes

At the beginning of October we decided to have a "Pedals & Pancakes" breakfast at Islands park. We loaded up a big Rubbermaid tub with an electric griddle and all the fixins' for a good meal, strapped it on the back of my bike, and headed to the park. All was going according to plan until a light breeze kicked up. Apparently it was just enough to keep the surface of the griddle from getting hot, even with it turned up to the max. So it took a little longer than we had hoped to cook those little hotcakes, but it all worked out in the end (we'll just take the Coleman stove next time). It was a fun family adventure.

Emily was very hungry and anxious to get the Pam on the griddle...

...but it was clogged.

It won't be long now! (or so we thought)

Chocolate chips. mmm.
